Ryan Mann, Ph.D.
Ryan Mann, Ph.D., is the senior artificial intelligence scientist at Cognovi Labs.
A US Air Force veteran and former police detective, Ryan has been applying statistical models and data science methodologies in real-world circumstances for over 12 years. He has focused heavily on the application of natural language processing (NLP) to psychology in order to study the relationship between word choice and intentions.
Ryan received his B.S. in Psychology & Criminal Justice from Excelsior College, graduating Cum Laude. He earned his M.S. in Forensic Psychology and Ph.D. in Psychology from Walden University where he was received into the Psi Chi International Honors Society. He also holds an active Top Secret clearance.
Ryan is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and speaks fluent Italian. His research includes the application of machine learning in ethical policing, theoretical views on violent extremism, and the evolutionary basis for stalking. He has guest lectured at the University and Florida on indicators of deception in language and at the University of Central Florida on ethical policing.
